Lately, have you noticed the trend of wearing pajama bottoms out in public? Usually they are worn with t-shirts, tanks or a sweatshirt with Crocs or sneakers. Im looking forward to have this new pj bottoms myself. I love to wear them around the house while I write or clean.
The only problem is going out in public wearing those bold red checkered bottoms. I just don’t feel comfortable. Maybe it’s the fashionista in me that recoils from the idea of scouting supermarket aisles while wearing my pajamas.
Well, Pajama jeans look and fit like jeans but feel like comfy pajama bottoms. It’s Amazing! right? The outside material resembles twill and the inside is soft like a pair of sweatpants. Pajama jeans are detailed like the real thing with contrast stitching, back pockets and brass rivets.
StyleList reported Stacey Buonanno, merchandising manager for The PajamaGram Company, stated, “We were noticing that people were wearing their pajamas on airplanes and in grocery stores. But a lot of people have mixed feelings about it because they think it’s inappropriate and sloppy. We thought, why don’t we develop something that you’re comfortable hanging around the house in or even sleeping in, but it looks acceptable when you go out of the house? A lot of people wear their workout clothes out. But we thought it would be easy to take a pair of jeans, style them similar to a yoga pant, give them all the jean detailing, but make them stretchy and soft so that you wouldn’t mind wearing them to bed.”
This gives lounge wear a whole new look. I love lounge wear from Victoria’s Secret and Kohls. You can wear it around the house or to drive the kids to their endless activities without embarrassment. It sounds like pajama jeans take lounge wear to a whole new level of comfort and style!
